111kg stopped at Au Cap clean up!

Accompanied by a beautiful change of weather ?, we spent a productive Sunday morning clearing part of the Au Cap beach with this wonderful group of people. 

In not even an hour, we managed to pick up 111kg worth of litter! These were items mainly found behind the beach and within the coastal vegetation. Some bays you come across may look clean, but these can be very deceiving. You will be very surprised by what you can find behind the white sandy shorelines. We noticed that many single-use plastic picnic equipment is still circulating around the island and being left behind on the beach... Please do remind people that there is a national ban on the importation, sale and commercial use of plastic cups, cutlery, plates and straws.
